July is just around the corner, and that once again means that we can welcome this year’s FrameRunning Camp & Cup. In cooperation with Parasport Frederiksberg, Parasport Denmark, Foreningernes Idrætsråd Gladsaxe, and Gladsaxe Municipality, we are pleased to welcome you to FrameRunning Camp & Cup 2026. After a successful camp in Bagsværd in 2024, the event now returns to Bagsværd Stadium.
This year, 76 athletes from 14 different countries will take part in a camp that is the largest international Frame Running event in 2026. We are very excited to welcome a week where a unique mix of FrameRunners from all over the world will have the chance to build connections across borders as they train and compete together.
Among the participants defending Danish colors are both brand new athletes attending the camp for the first time and experienced runners who have joined many times before. This blend of experience and new talent is one of the camp’s hallmarks. Frame Running Camp & Cup is an outstanding opportunity for new athletes to test themselves at an international-class event. The week promises plenty of excellent training, exciting competitions with speed and action, and, of course, good spirits.
The Mayor of Gladsaxe states the following: “Here in Gladsaxe, we are delighted to once again be the host city for the Frame Running Camp & Cup. This camp is a celebration of diversity, determination, and community. It is incredibly important to cherish, and it was a great success when the camp last visited Bagsværd in 2024. That is why we look forward to seeing athletes, trainers, and leaders take over Bagsværd Stadium once again,” says Gladsaxe’s mayor Serdal Benli.
The camp as an international driving force
The chairman of the Camp Committee, Mansoor Siddiqi, states:
"Over the past 28 years, the camp has been a catalyst for the development of Frame Running worldwide. Therefore, I am pleased that Frederiksberg has become known for this camp. As Frame Running becomes part of the athletics discipline at the Paralympic Games 2028, I am certain that the interest in the camp will grow – especially from developing countries where many will try to qualify for the Paralympics in this discipline."
The first days are dedicated to training for both leaders, coaches, and athletes. The week ends with a tournament, starting with the opening ceremony on Wednesday, July 8. The competitions will take place from July 8 to July 11 at Bagsværd Stadium.
As a new initiative this year, we have changed the training in the days leading up to the competition. The new structure gives all athletes the opportunity to work on several important aspects of Frame Running and bring home new knowledge and inspiration.
The training will focus, among other things, on balance, strength, coordination, technique, starting practice, and meditation.
