ParaSport Spokane is a multi-sport, multi-disability sport and recreation program based in Spokane Washington and one of the largest ongoing training sites for Para Athletics in North America.

Michael Anwar (pictured) is a snowboarder, a cyclist, a surfer, and an avid camper. He had never found a competitive avenue to match his need for speed until he first tried Frame Running.

First Practice on a Frame Runner

At his first practice, his face lit up and he had some immediate ideas on how to improve the set-up of the running frame to maximize his potential. He was hooked. His training focuses of repetition of movements, building strength and finding the fine balance between speed and control. Ongoing training opportunities have given Michael the capacity to become stronger and more confident.

Young participants enjoying the freedom of Frame Running

With two more smaller frames, ParaSport Spokane is able to introduce frame running to a number of younger participants who are really taking to the freedom, safety and confidence that it provides. We are excited to help grow the sport in the region and to continue to get more athletes involved!
